Contains photographs of the following military units: 4th Infantry Division; 37th Infantry Division. General description of the collection: The George R. Pinkerton photograph collection consists of the personal photos and post cards collected by George R. Pinkerton while he served during WWI. Many are the "stock" souvenir published photos made for sale to soldiers (GI's). There are numerous photos of Brest, France; Camp Pentanezen, France and Remagen (and the bridge), Germany. The post card views are mostly of the Rhine River sites.
